Jack pine (Pinus banksiana)

Jack pine is very cold and drought resistant. Its needles are grouped in pairs, as are its cones. It is undemanding from the soil point of view and has a rapid juvenile growth. It is very interesting for its use as protection on exposed sites or as a colonizer on hydromorphic sites.
