Rocky Mountain fir (Abies lasiocarpa)

Mountain fir of the American Northwest. When planted, the protection provided by the forest environment does not seem absolutely essential for this species, which is interesting for reforestation in the subalpine and upper montane levels. Heat and drought are very unfavorable, but Abies lasiocarpa is not sensitive to late frosts. Interesting for the production of Christmas trees.
